CARE GUIDE

FOr Coasters, decor and other polycrylic sealed items:

Natural wood

  • coasters and some decor are made of natural wood with bark intact, and the bark edge remains unfinished. Some bark may chip with regular use and is normal. 

Keep your coasters looking new

  • avoid prolonged sun exposure
  • avoid excessive moisture, or submerging in water
  • avoid placing food or hot items on the wood
  • polycrylic sealed items are not suitable for food contact

to clean

  • gently wipe with a cloth, with care not to snag the rag on any exposed bark

For cutting boards, wooden spoons and other food-safe items

  • keep sanitized
  • regularly rub in only food-safe mineral oil to renew finish

Keep your boards and utensils looking new

  • keep away from open flames
  • do not place oven hot pots and pans on surface
  • avoid submerging in water
  • do not wash in dishwasher
  • avoid cutting raw meat or poultry (if you must, afterward board should be washed with a solution of one tablespoon of chlorine bleach per quart of water, then wash again with soap and water. bleach solution may degrade art)

to clean

  • wash with mild soap and water (do not soak, submerge and do not put in dishwasher) 
  • board can be disinfected with pure white vinegar or lemon juice
  • wipe completely dry, do not allow board to stand wet
  • once dry, rub in food-safe mineral oil on all sides of the board or utensil
